Tricks Every Web Designer Needs To Know

Alright, let’s jump to the point already (Because i don’t have any story of course); Below are some of the stuff i’ve come to suspect that many web designers might not know;

1. There is nothing annoying like outdated websites; you reach on a site in 2016 and it is saying something like “Copyright mYsite 2015”, or worse “Copyright ***** 2006”! Jesus, how many of you have seen this scenario? I usually never face that problem because i use this simple line of code;php

2. Have you ever had a font on your computer but can’t use it on your website(as is with me: which is probably hosted on the other side of the other side of the world)? Well, worry no more.

a. Use TransType; this amazing program take any font, convert it into about 4 font types so as to account for all browsers, and then generate for you the CSS needed to use your font.

b. If you don’t have a copy of TransType, just use the code below; The code gives the font a name and then tells where the font types are(in the same folder in this case).fontFace

3. Ever embedded a YouTube video on a site and latter realize that it’s actually taking traffics else where by displaying related videos at the end? Annoying! I’ve been dealing with that lately. All you have to do to stop it is type (?rel=0) in the embed tags after the video link as shown below;rELvIDS

And that’s not much, but it may be handy sometimes.
